Explosion-proof fan (ATEX)-EMT

The EMT series is made of aluminium and designed as ATEX centrifugal blowers for explosive gases and dusts. They are used primarily in the chemical industry, petrochemistry, in laboratories and in paint shops or wherever the conveyed medium, the ambient medium or the process contains flammable or explosive gases, vapours, mists or dusts. These radial fans are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 and PN-EN 13980.

The design is based on the European ATEX product directive. Accordingly, this series meets the requirements of Group II (category 2G/3G – 1st and/or 2nd zone as well as category 2D – 21st and/or 22nd zone as well as category 2G/D). In addition, our fans have a CE marking.

Temperature range of the pumped medium: -20°C to +60°C (standard version)

The fans of the EMT series consist of painted aluminium impellers which are balanced according to ISO 14694. The housing itself is made of an aluminium alloy and the other components are made of sheet brass or sheet aluminium. This reduces the risk of sparking to an absolute minimum.

This ATEX blower comes in black (RAL 9005) as standard. We would be pleased to accept your personal colour request. In addition, the standard version includes a cover at the fan inlet and outlet as well as an additional earthing terminal.

Electric motor

The fans of the EMT series are equipped with an electric three-phase motor in the voltage 230/400V or 400/690V (50Hz frequency) in reinforced EEx-e design. This makes them suitable for continuous operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. On request, we can supply motors with a different temperature class or degree of protection.

Gases: Temperature class T3 (category 2G, 3G)
Dusts: temperature class T125C (category, 2D, 3D)
Ambient temperature of the motor: -20°C to +40°C (standard version)

The installation of the unit must be carried out under the directive 99/92/EC (“ATEX USERS”) and includes specifications regarding occupational safety and health of the employees.

The application of our 2D fans must be carried out under the condition of vibration isolators and a vibration monitoring system. We also recommend the use of ventilation flaps. We will be happy to advise you in this regard.
